Air Duct and Dryer Vent Cleaning in Lewisville, TX

One call gets you a local duct cleaning company that quotes the whole system, not a teaser price. Free quote, and a plain answer if the honest one is "change the filter and wait".

Almost every Lewisville house has its ductwork in the attic, where it bakes through a long cooling season and pulls in whatever leaks around the return. That is the real reason ducts here get dirty, and it decides what a cleaning has to cover to be worth paying for.

What duct cleaning costs in Lewisville

For a full source-removal cleaning of one system on a typical house, local companies generally quote somewhere around $400 to $900. A second system, a dirty coil or a lot of registers moves it up. A $99 whole-house price is a different and much smaller job.

See what moves the number.

What you can get quoted

Whole-system air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, cleaning of the air handler, blower and evaporator coil, a look at suspected mold or moisture, and clean-up of the dust a remodel or a new build leaves in the system. Call or send the form and a local company comes back to you with questions about the house before anyone gives a price.

Why Lewisville ducts get dirty

Houses here sit on slabs, with no basement to hold the equipment, so the air handler and nearly every foot of duct live in the attic or a hall closet. In August that attic can run well past 130 degrees. Flex duct and the tape on its joints age fast in that heat, and every gap on the return side pulls attic air, insulation fibre and dust straight into the system.

Then add the North Texas pollen year: mountain cedar from late December, oak in spring, grass into early summer and ragweed in the fall. Search interest for duct cleaning in Lewisville peaks in April, at roughly ten times its October low, and that is when the oak pollen is thickest on every windshield in town.

None of that means every house needs a cleaning. It means a house that does need one usually has a leak somewhere on the return side, and a cleaning that does not find it buys a year at most.

What a real cleaning involves

The industry reference is ACR, the standard published by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association: the system is put under negative pressure with a large vacuum so loosened debris goes into the collector rather than the living room, and every part of it is agitated with brushes or air whips, run by run, from the registers to the air handler. The EPA's own checklist adds the parts a cheap job skips: the blower, the coil and the drain pan. Clean the ducts and leave a matted coil, and the system blows that dirt back through clean ducts within weeks.

The Texas licensing detail worth knowing

Texas lets a duct cleaner work without a state licence only on the duct run itself, from the supply plenum to the registers and from the return grille to the air handler, with no cutting of ducts and no electrical changes. Once the job reaches the blower or the coil, the rule no longer covers it, and that part belongs to a contractor licensed by TDLR for air conditioning and refrigeration. Ask who does that part of the work before you book. The licensing guide explains how to check a licence in about a minute.

Guides

Common questions

What does it cost to use this site?

Nothing. There is no fee for the introduction and no obligation after the quote. You pay the company that does the cleaning, directly, at the price you agree with them.

Do my ducts actually need cleaning?

Often not. The EPA does not recommend cleaning ducts on a schedule, only when there is a reason: visible mold growth on hard duct surfaces or the equipment, rodents or insects in the system, or enough dust and debris that it blows out of the registers. A grey fringe on a return grille is normal and a vacuum fixes it. The guide on when it is worth it goes through the cases.

How long does a proper cleaning take?

For one system on an ordinary single-story house, plan on most of a morning or an afternoon, and longer for a two-story house with two systems. A crew that is in and out of a whole house in under an hour has not done a source-removal cleaning, whatever the invoice calls it.

Do you cover my part of town?

All of Lewisville, including Castle Hills and Old Town, plus Frisco, Denton, Carrollton, Flower Mound and The Colony. If you are near the edge of that, call and give the ZIP rather than guessing.

Can I get advice without booking anything?

Yes, and plenty of calls end that way. If the honest answer is a new filter and a look at what is leaking into the return, that is the answer you will get.

Are you a duct cleaning company?

No, and you should know that before you call. Lewisville Duct Pros is an advertising and referral service. When you call or send a quote request you are put in touch with an independent local duct cleaning company that serves your area. We do not do the work, hold no trade licence, and take no cut of what you pay them.
